This +1 warhammer has three stylized chimera carved into its gold-plated head: a scowling horned dragon, a snorting goat with mighty horns, and a fearsome great cat with its jaws open in a terrifying scream. By activating Chimera's Visage, you can select which of its three heads functions as its primary head, which in turn determines the weapon's capabilities.

Activate—Chimera's Visage 1 (manipulate) You shift Chimera's Claw to change its primary head, allowing access to that head's weapon traits and secondary effect.

Horned Dragon Head The dragon head's horn deals piercing damage. In this mode, the warhammer has the sweep and versatile S weapon traits. Each time you damage a creature with this weapon, the dragon's flaring nostrils snort out a small cloud of cloying, acrid gas that deals an additional 2 persistent poison damage in addition to the weapon's normal damage.

Screaming Cat Head The screaming cat's brutal teeth deal slashing damage. In this mode, the warhammer has the backstabber and versatile B weapon traits. Tiny rubies inset into the eyes of the weapon's screaming cat face ignite as bright-red pinpoints, distracting foes with traces of crimson light as the weapon shifts and moves in combat. This grants you a +2 item bonus to Feint against a target you damaged with Chimera's Claw in the previous round.

Snorting Goat Head The snorting goat's curled horns and heavy brow deal bludgeoning damage. In this mode, the warhammer has the shove and versatile P weapon traits. The goat head's long horns function as a levered crowbar.

Trait Effects

Magical: Something with the magical trait is imbued with magical energies not tied to a specific tradition of magic. Some items or effects are closely tied to a particular tradition of magic. In these cases, the item has the arcane, divine, occult, or primal trait instead of the magical trait. Any of these traits indicate that the item is magical.

Critical Specialisation Effects

Certain effects can grant you benefits when you make a Strike with certain weapons and get a critical success. This is called a critical specialisation effect. The exact effect depends on which weapon group your weapon belongs to, as listed below. You can always decide not to add the critical specialisation effect of your weapon.

Hammer: The target is knocked prone unless they succeed at a Fortitude save against your class DC.
