Item: Reactive Mail
Often heavily battle scared from use, this chain mail is commonly issued to frontline soldiers who are tasked with battling through enemies to reach high-value targets across the battlefield.

Frequency once per hour
Trigger A creature within 15 feet uses a manipulate action
Effect An iron spike launches from your armor at the target, dealing 2d8 piercing damage to the target (DC 20 Basic Reflex save). If the target critically fails, the triggering action is disrupted.
Armor Specialisation Effects
The overlapping rings of chain are designed to deflect piercing attacks and reduce the impact of crushing blows.
Medium Armor: When you take damage from a critical hit, reduce the extra damage by 4 + the value of the armor's potency rune. This is the damage beyond the base damage, as determined on a success.
