Item: Mark of the Torrent
Access You're a member of the Order of the Torrent.
The Order of the Torrent works to rescue kidnapped people, and their cobalt blue badge can often open doors that would otherwise be closed. When wearing this badge, you gain a +1 item bonus to Survival and Diplomacy checks to Track or Gather Information about a missing person.

Frequency once per day
Requirements A kidnapping occurred within 15 feet of your location, or you have some information about the target or perpetrators of a kidnapping
Effect You attempt to Recall Knowledge about those who perpetrated the kidnapping, the information supernaturally surfacing in your mind. The GM determines what skill and DC to use for this check based on the level and nature of the perpetrators (usually a Society check at a standard DC for the perpetrator's level). In addition, if you fail to Recall Knowledge about the kidnapper (but don't critically fail), you eliminate one false lead about the kidnapper or how they abducted the target. For instance, you might determine that an incorporeal undead wasn't involved, though you gain no other information about what happened. The mark can't provide specific identifying information about the perpetrators, like their name or location.
Trait Effects
Invested: A character can invest only 10 magical items that have the invested trait. None of the magical effects of the item apply if the character hasn’t invested it, nor can it be activated, though the character still gains any normal benefits from wearing the physical item (like a hat keeping rain off their head).
Magical: Something with the magical trait is imbued with magical energies not tied to a specific tradition of magic. Some items or effects are closely tied to a particular tradition of magic. In these cases, the item has the arcane, divine, occult, or primal trait instead of the magical trait. Any of these traits indicate that the item is magical.
