Activate 1 (manipulate)

A philter of empty dreams is a dose of glowing blue liquid that prevents dreams. When you drink a philter of empty dreams, you have no dreams for the next 8 hours and gain a +1 item bonus to saving throws against dream- or nightmare-themed effects (including saving throws against the effects of midnight milk). If you're suffering from an addiction to midnight milk when you drink a philter of empty dreams, the potion attempts to counteract the addiction with a counteract rank of 4 and a +15 modifier for the roll. If an intellect devourer who's controlling a stolen body uses the body to drink a philter of empty dreams, the intellect devourer must succeed at a DC 24 Fortitude save or be forced to Exit the Body immediately.

Trait Effects

Consumable: An item with this trait can be used only once. Unless stated otherwise, it’s destroyed after activation. Consumable items include alchemical items and magical consumables such as scrolls and talismans. A character can Craft consumable items in batches of four.

Magical: Something with the magical trait is imbued with magical energies not tied to a specific tradition of magic. Some items or effects are closely tied to a particular tradition of magic. In these cases, the item has the arcane, divine, occult, or primal trait instead of the magical trait. Any of these traits indicate that the item is magical.

Potion: A potion is a consumable magical liquid activated when you drink it.
