Xiomorn Scout Trooper

Xiomorn troopers are an elite military force formed from the ranks of xiomorn vault keepers. Armed with technology only they understand, xiomorn troopers hold the line against those who oppose the mysterious aims of the vault builders.

Many xiomorn troopers possess special training or equipment that helps them perform specific roles within their strike force. Comm troopers, for example, can communicate telepathically with their fellow troopers, while scout troopers surround themselves with fields of light-bending energy on their patrols. The batons of shock troopers carry charges of electricity that they use to stun their foes, while rad troopers are armed with explosives that release bursts of a sickening radiation, to which the troopers themselves are immune.

Mysterious Generals

Some xiomorn troopers consider themselves part of a single military organization led by a figure whose identity is unknown even to the highest-ranking troopers. Referred to only as the "Commander," this mysterious leader hands down orders along an extended, telepathic chain of command. In many Orvian vaults, the Commander is presumed to be a vault builder—or perhaps a fellow trooper in direct contact with the builders—though some troopers insist the Commander is simply an imaginary figurehead created to inspire loyalty. The fact that different squads of troopers have at times been given conflicting orders lends credence to the latter belief.
