Knucklehead
Creature 14Source Pathfinder Adventure Path #225: VaultlinesRemaster
Knuckleheads are fleshwarps named after the oversized hand that sprouts from their neck in place of a skull. Their dangling, armor-plated arms are equally disproportionate, even in comparison to their massive frames, which range in size from 10 to 14 feet tall. Knuckleheads can use their arms either as a second pair of legs or to deliver stone-shattering punches. They feed by crushing a victim in their head-hand, the palm of which is split by a toothy maw.
It's often said that encountering a fleshwarp is evidence there's an even greater monster nearby: the cruel being that tortured the fleshwarp into its distorted form. The Darklands are home to many such monsters, both the fleshwarps and their creators.
Failed Experiments
Knuckleheads are the product of an effort to turn prisoners into obedient servants, but it turns out that a brain isn't an optional luxury when creating the perfect laborer. Driven by hunger and blind instinct, knuckleheads hunted their creators and fellow prisoners alike. Now that they've escaped into the Darklands, they prowl pitch-black caverns, attracted by the smell of flesh.
