These apparitions coach an animist in crafting their own deals, though the same apparition often harbors an inconsolable fear of a specific contract type, such as infernal contracts or real estate deeds. Some lamentations of sinister deals might actually be damned souls that have narrowly avoided the River of Souls, knowing they'll be dragged to Hell once they arrive. Theoretically, an animist could earn the apparition's loyalty if they could unravel whatever contract cursed the apparition in the first place.
